In order to get dose documented in the patient history, there are some steps that must not be forgotten, otherwise it will not work. [And this is not so easy if you are in a routine hospital with a high patient load.] First, the accumulate dose flag has to be set on. This has to be done every time. Then we acquire an image in port mode and compare it to the reference image from simulation. If the setup is o.k., we can proceed to the second setup field by closing the session and setting the first setup field inactive. If the patient setup has to be corrected, we can do so and acquire a second image of the same field, because we are still in port mode. If the setup finally is verified and approved, we proceed to the IMRT fields.
