New interlocks discovered


It was late at night during a long measurement session, when on Aug. 2nd, 2001, suddenly a new and previously unknown interlock appeared on the Clinac's screen:

There have been reports from radiotherapy departments in other countries (mainly China and the U.K.), which seem to confirm our observations. But the interlock they discovered looked slightly different:

In honor of the discovery, we made a screenshot and printed it on a mug. This "CFIL Award" is given each year to the Varian service engineer with the highest number of night-hours at our machines.
